Logan Holt

So this is Logan Holt, Moria's childhood friend when she was living with Malcolm. He was a rather lively and vibrant child who had aspirations to become a doctor (or a pilot). He always had his backpack that was stocked with medical items he lifted from his mother's cabinet, as she probably wouldn't have noticed due to her always being drunk. He was protective over Moria and the only one that seem to believe her story about her abusive uncle, and would normally go outside with her to play like normal kids well into the night so she would stay away from him.

During one of those times, when Moria had gone to retrieve a soccer ball that they had been playing with, he was struck down by a stray bullet from a drive-by shooting that had been meant for a group that had been playing basketball nearby. Moria barely managed to get to him before he collapsed. She tried to keep him conscious long enough for a medic to arrive, however after giving her his 'lucky charm', which was an old earring of his grandmother's, he died in her arms, a slight smile on his face. That incident broke Moria, and she allowed the beatings from Malcolm to worsen, not really caring if she lived or died. In her mind, she had failed to protect another person she cared about. Within a few weeks she was 'rescued' by her other uncles and aunt. She still carries his 'good luck' charm, though for a good majority of her life, she kept in her backpack. When she lives in Italy, she finally gets an ear pierced and actually wears the earring on occasion.

Logan had a dramatic impact in Moria's life, and due to this both she and Sirius name their son after him and James, two men that had significant roles in their lives.
